We’re seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join a large, values-led organisation on a 3-month temporary contract, with strong potential to become permanent based in the Birmingham City area.
Key Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant role include:
- Support month-end and year-end close (journals, accruals, reconciliations)
- Prepare management accounts with the Management Accountant
- Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Assist with statutory accounts and audits
- Manage VAT returns and ensure compliance (SORP)
- Line manage and support Finance Assistants
- Partner with stakeholders across the organisation
To be considered for the Financial Accountant role you must be:
- Fully or part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA/ACA)
- Strong financial accounting experience in a complex organisation
- Confident with Excel and finance systems (ERP desirable)
- Detail-focused with strong organisational and stakeholder skills
