Data Analyst

Key information: Full-time - 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm- fully office based in Solihull.
Are you passionate about data and tech with a talent for solving problems? We are looking for a proactive Data and IT Analyst to join our client in Solihull on a permanent basis. You will play a key part in ensuring IT systems run smoothly and data delivers real value to the business.
This is a varied role that combines IT support, systems management, and data analysis, ideal for someone hands-on with tech and who enjoys working across departments.
Key Duties for the role of Data Analyst include:
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of business technology systems
  • Analyse data and present to management teams
  • Liaise with external IT suppliers and manage IT equipment
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues (Windows PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices)
  • Manage user accounts during onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Maintain and improve internal systems
  • Clean, transform, and analyse data to support decision-making
  • Collaborate on the design and delivery of new software solutions
  • Provide system training and technical support across the business

Essential Skills & Experience required to be considered for the role of Data Analyst:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in data analysis or IT support
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Solid knowledge of computer systems, hardware/software, and network troubleshooting
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

Technical and Systems Skills required for the role of Data Analyst:
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (especially Excel - intermediate to advanced)
  • Familiarity with Power BI and CRM systems
  • IT qualification or equivalent hands-on experience

Desirable skills for the role of Data Analyst:
  • Experience with Prospect Soft (CRM) or Pegasus Opera (ERP)
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Background in the manufacturing industry
  • HND or degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Information Systems
