KC Group is hiring on behalf of a leading healthcare provider for a qualified and accredited Clinical Coder to join their team on a fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong clinical coding background looking for flexibility and competitive pay.
Responsibilities of the Clinical Coder role Include:
- Accurately review and code patient records using ICD-10 and OPCS coding systems
- Ensure clinical coding is completed in line with national standards and guidelines
- Maintain patient confidentiality and data protection at all times
- Liaise with clinical teams to clarify documentation where required
- Support audits and reporting to improve data quality and compliance
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the coding team
To be considered for the Clinical Coder role you must:
- Hold the National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ)
- Be an accredited Clinical Coder with proven experience
- Have strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to query clinical documentation when needed
- Able to work independently in a remote environment
