Are you looking to grow your career in web development?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client who is a growing software and IT services company based in Olney.

About the Company

They’ve recently relocated to expand their operations and take on exciting new projects that solve real business challenges for SMEs and enterprises across the UK.

What makes them different?

They believe in building lasting relationships with their clients, not just delivering a service.

Their unique all-inclusive monthly fee model makes bespoke solutions accessible to businesses of all sizes, and their "no-ticket" support philosophy means you'll work directly with clients - essentially as an extended member of their team.

They specialise in custom business management systems, seamless integrations, mobile apps, e-commerce platforms, and managed IT support that genuinely transforms how their clients operate.

The Role

They’re looking for a junior or more experienced Frontend Web Developer to work on the user-facing side of our bespoke projects.

You'll be responsible for building and maintaining polished, responsive interfaces that look great and feel intuitive - turning client requirements and designs into production-ready code.

You'll also contribute to the UI of their mobile applications, working closely with the wider development team to keep things consistent across web and app.

This is a hands-on role with real variety.

You'll typically be involved in several projects at once - anything from business management systems and e-commerce platforms to mobile apps - and you'll stay with those projects long term, getting to know the clients and their businesses inside out.

While the primary focus of this role is frontend development, you'll be working alongside our backend developers on a daily basis and there will be plenty of opportunity to get stuck into backend work with PHP, Java Script, and Node if that interests you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain responsive, high-quality user interfaces using React, Next. js, and Vite
  • Turn designs, wireframes, and client requirements into clean, working frontend code
  • Contribute to mobile app UI development using React Native, keeping things consistent with the web side
  • Work directly with clients to understand their needs and present frontend solutions
  • Work alongside backend developers to integrate APIs and make sure data flows properly
  • Maintain and improve shared component libraries and design patterns across projects
  • Take part in code reviews with a focus on UI quality, accessibility, and consistency
  • Help shape frontend standards and best practices as the team grows

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A genuine interest in frontend development and building things for the web
  • A good foundation in HTML, CSS, and Java Script - whether from a course, self-teaching, freelance work, or personal projects
  • Some experience with React or similar component-based frameworks
  • An eye for design and attention to visual detail
  • Comfortable building layouts that work across different devices and screen sizes
  • Familiarity with Git and version control basics
  • A willingness to learn, ask questions, and take feedback on board
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards working with clients

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Next. js and/or Vite
  • Exposure to React Native for mobile app development
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Figma, or similar design tools
  • Some graphic design ability - comfortable producing or tidying up visual assets, icons, or marketing materials
  • An understanding of UI/UX principles and accessibility basics
  • Experience with CSS frameworks like Tailwind
  • Any exposure to backend technologies such as PHP, Node. js, or My SQL
  • What They Offer
  • 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Comprehensive private health insurance
  • Workplace pension with employer contribution
  • Modern office environment
  • A real career progression pathway with regular reviews
  • Hands-on mentoring from experienced developers
  • Opportunity to broaden your skills into backend development over time
  • Direct client interaction and relationship-building experience
  • Diverse project portfolio spanning multiple industries
  • Access to the latest technologies and development tools
