Lyndale Estates are currently looking for a committed and dependable Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their growing team. This is an outdoor role suited to someone who enjoys physical work and being outdoors. Previous experience would be advantageous, but not necessary as full training and support will be provided.

As our new Ground Maintenance Operative, you will work as part of a friendly, supportive team, maintaining a variety of sites across the West Midlands. This is a hands-on role offering variety, stability, and the opportunity to build long-term skills within a well-established business, where all training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grass and lawn cutting
  • Hedge trimming, pruning, and basic plant care
  • Strimming, edging, and general grounds maintenance
  • Litter picking and keeping sites clean and tidy
  • Weed control
  • Leaf removal, planting, and mulching for landscaped areas
  • Rubbish removal
  • Supporting seasonal work, including filling grit bins
  • Using gardening tools, equipment, pedestrian mowers and petrol hand tools (full training provided)
  • Carrying out basic equipment checks
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times

The role will be suited to someone who:

  • Is a reliable individual with a strong work ethic
  • Has a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Good timekeeping and willingness to learn
  • Is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team
  • Can carry out manual labour

A Full, clean UK driving licence is essential. Previous experience would be advantageous but not necessary as full training and support will be provided.
