Our client is an established software testing & DevOps leading consultancy based in London. They have already doubled in size in the last twelve months and are really going places. With an impressive client base of enterprise-level organisations, they are working on some of the UK's largest clients in a range of sectors, from finance and media to energy and retail. They are an advocate of Agile methods, BDD, ATDD and open source technology.

The role will require the individual to lead and run the functional test automation effort on projects for clients across various market sectors throughout the software testing lifecycle. You will have deep understanding and experience of the BDD methodology, open source and proprietary test automation tools and technologies. You will have experience of developing the test automation strategy, approach, and planning for projects in organisations where BDD and test automation is in its infancy or has not been implemented in accordance with industry-standard test automation best-practice principles. You will have experience of writing and programmatically coding automated test scripts, debugging, execution and results reporting.

What we're looking for:

  • Someone with deep understanding and exposure to the BDD methodology.
  • Experience of developing the test automation strategies in both Greenfield environments and the adaption of existing tools and processes.
  • Experience of writing and coding automated test scripts, debugging and reporting results.
  • A real passion for test automation design and subsequent delivery with a wide variety of organisations.
  • An excellent communicator who can work across multiple market sectors and partners at all levels to design and develop automation test frameworks and implement these on various client sites.
  • Exposure to multi-platform test automation solutions for web, apps, tablet, mobile and Back End applications on a wide range of technologies.

What you need:

  • Expert knowledge of test automation design.
  • Excellent stakeholder and man management skills, especially the ability to engage with multi-level partners.
  • Demonstrable experience of crafting and implementing robust test automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on coding experience of automated test scripts using a variety of programming languages, ideally, .Net, C#.
  • Exposure to agile methodologies and Behavior-driven development.
  • Expert knowledge of test automation design, best-practice, strategy and planning and implementation.
  • Must have C#.net hands-on experience.

Technical skills:

  • Deep understanding of Object Orientated Design.
  • Understanding of Gherkin/Cucumber/SpecFlow etc.
  • Deep understanding of SQL.
  • Ability to work with both Windows and Linux/Unix stacks.
  • Working within Scrum teams using Agile methodologies and BDD tools and principles.
