Overview

Number 1 position for a founder-led, content & marketing agency operating in the gaming and tech sectors, with clients including Google, Logitech, and Amazon. We are open to full-time applications but are also considering part-time candidates (4-day week). The role offers potential for option grants to be discussed as part of the compensation package. We are looking for a highly capable and commercially minded finance leader to take full ownership of the financial operations. This role involves overseeing two operating models: the established agency and a sister pre-revenue SaaS business incubated within, which is funded and at an early but exciting stage.

Responsibilities

  • Own the finance function end-to-end, from invoicing and creditor payments through to month-end close, management reporting, and providing the founders with a clear, forward-looking view of the business.
  • Hold financial ownership for both operations (agency and pre-revenue SaaS venture) and drive financial discipline across the portfolio.
  • Automate routine reporting using existing tools and your initiative with AI, allowing you to focus on interpreting numbers and informing decisions.
  • Shift from producing data to shaping direction by turning insights into actionable business decisions.
  • Contribute to burn rate management, runway planning, investor reporting, and understanding the financial dynamics of scaling a SaaS product.
  • Collaborate with founders and leadership to define financial strategy and support growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post-qualification experience in a hands-on SME environment; multi-entity and multi-currency experience is ideal.
  • Confident user of Xero and advanced Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, proactive mindset, and the ability to translate numbers for creative non-finance colleagues.

Working Style

Entrepreneurial, relaxed but commercial culture with a focus on quality of time and effort. Hybrid working pattern; no expectation of long hours at a desk.
