Are you a HR / People Advisor looking for a step up in your career or an experienced People Partner looking for a new challenge? We are recruiting for a real People focused Retailer who highly value their staff for a Regional People Business Partner to cover the South East / South West.
You will be required to travel to stores on average 3/4 days per week and work from home when not on-site. To support business operations across designated Regions by hands on day-to-day coaching, advice and strategic planning for all people related matters, including:
- Partnering with the Regional Manager(s) on the overall delivery of the People strategy, ensuring operational priorities are supported and successful delivery of commercial objectives.
- Field based delivery – based across our stores, working alongside leaders to provide advice, guidance and drive performance – handling employee relations cases to the best outcome possible.
- Overseeing the delivery of the region talent plan – ensuring effective recruitment of key roles, regular talent mapping processes in place and champion development initiatives across the business.
- Data led decision making – using company systems and information to drive a culture of data led people decisions, taking time to regularly review insights and make effective recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
- Championing our values, driving recognition and engagement initiatives across the regions. Identifying continuous improvement to communication channels and helping to ensure operations are aligned with the realities and challenges of the store environment.
- Supporting stores with their core cost controls, particularly payroll spend – ensuring stores are compliant, spend within budget and regular checks and balances are in place.
- Ensure all stores are legal and safe, particularly within people governance areas such as right to work, eLearning compliance and contractual safety.
- Collaborates with other People Business Partners, partners with Regional Managers and store leadership teams.
Role requirements:
- Proven experience of providing clear, effective advice on a range of employee relations issues.
- Experience within a retail and/or hospitality environment, with a clear understanding of how our people can drive commerciality.
- Data driven mindset, with an ability to identify trends and insights, making effective recommendations.
- Ability to work 'on the go' whilst based in the field and keep close to all support and Head Office departments.
- Confidential, always acts with integrity and a clear ability to build trustworthy relationships at all levels.
- Confident with systems, reporting and core tools such as Excel.
- Ability to always act as a brand ambassador and champion our values.
