Job Purpose:
The Business Support Administrator plays a vital role in providing administrative and operational support to the office team. This position ensures the smooth running of daily activities by managing communication channels, coordinating incoming packages of care, and supporting colleagues across the business to maintain efficient service delivery for our service users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate incoming packages of care, ensuring all details are logged, tracked, and communicated to the relevant departments.
- Monitor and manage incoming emails, distributing or responding appropriately in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide general administrative support to the office team, including data entry, filing, scanning, and maintaining accurate records.
- Answer and direct incoming calls, taking accurate messages and ensuring they are passed on to the correct colleague promptly.
- Assist in scheduling care visits, liaising with care coordinators and staff as needed.
- Support with the preparation and distribution of internal documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in line with company policy and data protection regulations.
- Provide support with recruitment and onboarding administration where required (e.g., document checks, references, and training record maintenance).
- Assist with audits, compliance checks, and updating company systems as directed by management.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to support the smooth operation of the business and delivery of care services.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in an administrative or business support role, ideally within health and social care (desirable but not essential).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer systems.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A professional, positive, and proactive approach to work.
