Responsibilities:
- Conduct outreach work for the identification of vulnerable children for PSS centers registration and case management for children specific needs.
- Carry out community child protection activities with adults and children.
- Conduct awareness sessions about child rights and psychosocial support through CMS with Returnees, IDPs, and conflict-affected populations targeted by the project.
- Collect information and maintain individual records (follow-up forms, individual files, etc.).
- Develop good working relations with other aid agencies and authorities in the working areas.
- Regularly collect information regarding case studies and success stories, highlighting positive changes.
- Maintain good relations with communities and be aware of the sensitivity regarding their cultures and traditions.
- Identify community volunteers and community ToTs in close coordination with community elders and Tdh selection criteria.
- Train community ToTs on CPiE using prepared training materials and documents.
- Refer eligible children to specialized services/external service providers.
- Attend all required internal and external trainings and meetings.
- Report weekly to the Line Manager on the progress of activities.
- Implement an action plan and methodology for child protection interventions with beneficiaries.
- Avoid dangerous mobility situations by favouring secure moves and facilitating monitoring of the child being moved.
- Identify support services, resources, and organisations for protection in the intervention zone and create a reference directory on child protection.
- Ensure no harm is done to any child during work.
- Collect data and maintain records on the children database, sharing with the Data Clerk.
- Engage in community life and use understanding of children's vulnerability to influence local decision-makers.
Case Management:
- Implement CMS to address protection concerns of IDPs, Returnees, and conflict-affected children and their families.
- Help beneficiaries develop capacities to maintain or restore self-reliance and fit into society.
- Decide on intervention methods together with beneficiaries and their families.
- Take actions to prevent or overcome problems faced by beneficiaries and their families.
- Collect facts and data on each child's situation and fill in individual files.
- Analyse and evaluate collected facts and data.
- Record, notify, and refer all types of detected abuse.
- Take appropriate steps to bring relief and protect children.
- Decide on services to provide in the child's best interests.
- Identify and mobilise useful external resources to provide these services.
- Direct interventions towards finding appropriate and individualised responses for children's reintegration into the community.
- Develop activities linked to the psychosocial monitoring of supported children.
- Ensure confidentiality of data.
- Develop follow-up plans for youngsters reintegrating into public schools.
- Conduct networking visits to other organisations to understand their fields of intervention for referrals.
- Assess levels of reintegration and close cases as necessary.

- Fluency in oral and written English, including representation, liaison, and negotiation skills in Pashto and Dari.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Excellent understanding of the region and its cultural aspects.
- Strong networking skills with the ability to engage various stakeholders effectively.
- Capability to take initiatives and demonstrate excellent negotiation skills.
- Proficient in report writing.
- Well-versed in the socio-political and cultural context of Afghanistan.
