Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Workshop Simulator Mechanic to build, prepare, and maintain our professional-grade simulators. This role sits at the core of KartSim’s hardware operations—assembling simulators, preparing customer orders, supporting installs, and ensuring every unit leaving our workshop meets the highest standard. You’ll be working on mechanical systems, motion platforms, electronics, and simulator setups, while also supporting customers and maintaining a clean, organised workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble KartSim simulators (frames, seating systems, displays, motion systems)
- Install and configure hardware components including PCs, monitors, and peripherals
- Build and wire motion systems and vibration systems (e.g. actuators, Buttkickers)
- Prepare simulators for shipment and installation
- Perform quality control checks on all outgoing systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and hardware faults
- Provide technical support to customers (remote and on-site when required)
- Support simulator installations at customer sites
