We are currently recruiting with a client based in Leicester who provide supported housing and deliver tailored support to clients in Leicestershire. They are currently recruiting for two positions within their Leicester team. Both roles are full-time at 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday with three days 8:30am-4:30pm and two days 1pm – 9pm. Both roles can be offered on a temporary or permanent basis. Tenancy Support Officer – Carry out a full needs assessment at the point of referral into the service to establish nature of support required by young person – Co-ordinate tenancy management and rent collection to ensure all housing management income is collected effectively – Uphold safeguarding procedures and maintain regular contact with ’at risk’ young people ensuring concerns are reported to relevant managers, colleagues or statutory agencies – Provide advice and support in relation budgeting, maximising income, reducing expenditure, dealing with debt, managing rent arrears and welfare benefits to prevent homelessness in accordance with policy, procedures and relevant regulations – You will ensure fair access, process of applications, relevant background checks and allocation of vacant properties – Carry out and report on property inspections reviewing inventory, fabric and health, safety and environmental hazards – Help clients maximise income by tracking and monitoring individual payment schedules, recharge, rent arrears and managing voids, and addressing concerns in accordance with policy and procedures – Identify and provide support to the young person liaising with and making appropriate referrals internally and externally to assist them to maintain their tenancy, services are accessed, or agencies are aware of matters of concern in line with young persons needs and in accordance with policy and procedures
