An established housing organisation is looking to appoint a Senior Project Surveyor to lead the delivery of major planned works and improvement programmes across a large residential portfolio. This is a senior, hands-on role offering the opportunity to manage high-value programmes, lead a team, and play a key role in improving homes and services for residents.
The Role
You will take responsibility for managing planned component replacement programmes, major works and energy efficiency projects across a sizeable housing stock. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and delivering multiple planned maintenance and major works programmes
- Managing budgets, spend forecasting and producing robust financial and project reports
- Contract managing external contractors and consultants in line with framework agreements
- Ensuring full compliance with CDM 2015, health & safety and statutory requirements
- Providing technical expertise on complex property and maintenance issues
- Leading, motivating and line-managing a team of Surveyors
- Supporting procurement activity and contractor appointments
- Overseeing resident communication strategies during works
What We’re Looking For
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Building Surveying, CIOB, or a related discipline
- Strong experience delivering planned maintenance or capital works programmes
- Proven contract and project management experience within housing or residential environments
- Sound knowledge of CDM 2015, health & safety, and building regulations
- Experience managing projects within agreed budgets and delivering value for money
- Confident stakeholder manager, able to work with residents, consultants, contractors and internal teams
- Strong report writing, organisation and IT skills (Microsoft Office)
