Our client is a housing association with properties across the UK. Currently they are seeking an experienced Retrofit Works Projects Manager to join their London team. This is a temporary position for 10 months, paying £400 per day via an umbrella company on a full time basis (35 hours per week) and requires a basic DBS. You would be based on site or in office 2/3 days minimum. Must be a qualified retrofit professional with CIOB, RICS, industry experience in delivering building SHDF projects. Responsibilities: – Support management with the design, tender and mobilisation of planned works programmes, ensuring adherence to contractual terms – Ensure retrofit and planned works programmes are delivered in line with programme and budget. Identify and manage out barriers to effective service delivery and cost management – Ensure that retrofit programmes are delivered in line with PAS 2035 and all contractors and consultants working on programme delivery have the relevant accreditation – Take the lead in reporting performance and monitoring to funders i.e. DESNZ – Day to day lead for contract requirement matters, developing and agreeing with contractors their individual service development plans, ensuring that the service delivered is fully compliant with the specification and contract – Oversee the improvement plan for each contractor, by attending formal monthly contract management meeting with each contractor, monitoring progress of the monthly plan by intervening and escalating as needed and producing update – Direct work rebalancing between primary and secondary contractors to ensure that demand levels are consistently able to be met – Provide performance reports on contractors against specification and KPI’s, intervening where performance dips, initiating improvement where performance requires it, and recording improvement action and expected results. Escalate if not achieved – Communicate performance and improvement in the service across the organisation and for external audiences by verifying the weekly performance report from each contractor – Identify good practice and discuss knowledge sharing opportunities with contractors, in addition initiating joint discussions on service improvement and training between organisations staff and contractors – Ensure compliance with Internal Audit recommendations and immediately report exceptions and take remedial action
