We are working on behalf of a respected Birmingham-based charity to recruit a Housing & Support Officer for a permanent, full-time position. Location: Various schemes across the outskirts of Birmingham

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Requirements:

  • Clean driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day housing operations including tenancy sign-ups, terminations, and tenancy sustainment
  • Respond promptly to rent arrears and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with support staff to help residents sustain their tenancies
  • Prepare legal notices and documentation in line with procedures
  • Manage occupancy levels, oversee voids, and coordinate refurbishments
  • Liaise with contractors and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant maintenance
  • Support Asset colleagues with administration, documentation, and reporting
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across all schemes

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience in housing management or property maintenance (charity/social housing sector preferred)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and service improvement
  • Confidence dealing with tenancy-related issues and legal documentation
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
