We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Officer on behalf of our client, a charitable housing association. The role with be dealing with estate and tenancy management duties and will be a hands-on housing management role, taking responsibility for a patch of properties across Cambridgeshire. You will need to be comfortable picking up an existing patch and caseload, working independently and providing an effective and responsive housing management service from the outset. The role As Housing Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your designated patch, working closely with residents, colleagues and external agencies to resolve tenancy and neighbourhood issues. Your responsibilities will include: * Managing a patch of properties across the local region and carrying out home visits as required. * Providing a visible and responsive housing management service to residents. * Carrying out tenancy visits, estate inspections and other neighbourhood-based activities. * Building positive relationships with residents and supporting them to sustain their tenancies. * Managing anti-social behaviour cases and taking appropriate action to resolve issues. * Working proactively to maximise rental and service charge income. * Ensuring residents meet the terms and conditions of their tenancy agreements. * Working with internal colleagues, local authorities and other partner agencies to resolve complex housing issues. * Identifying and addressing estate and neighbourhood management issues. * Managing your own workload and caseload effectively, prioritising more urgent or complex cases. * Providing a professional, customer-focused service while balancing the needs of individual residents and the wider community. About you We are looking for someone with previous experience in housing management, tenancy management or a similar Housing Officer role, you will have access to your own transport and have a valid UK driving license
