We’re working with a respected housing provider seeking a Housing Administrator to join their Housing Management team on a temporary 5-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational and customer service skills to play a key role in supporting tenants and communities.
The Role
As a Housing Administrator, you’ll provide essential support to the Tenancy and Estates team, ensuring an efficient and effective housing management service. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Managing appointments, estate inspections, housing surgeries and new tenant visits.
- Administering mutual exchanges, successions, tenancy assignments and permissions.
- Handling customer enquiries by phone, email and in person, providing accurate housing advice.
- Supporting Housing Officers with inspections, safe and well checks and tenancy visits.
- Maintaining housing records, data and performance information.
- Assisting with sheltered scheme reviews and wider housing projects.
- Providing general administrative support, including correspondence, reports and minute taking.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can effectively prioritise and manage a varied workload.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and housing management systems.
- Has experience working in a customer service or office-based environment, ideally within housing or the public sector.
- Understands key social housing issues and their impact on residents.
A full UK driving license and the ability to travel across the district are essential.
