An established and values‑led Housing Provider in West London is seeking an experienced Governance Manager to take ownership of its corporate governance framework and deliver a high‑quality company secretariat function across the organisation. This is a high‑profile role with significant exposure to the Board, Committees, Executive Team, and subsidiaries, offering the opportunity to shape and continuously improve governance practices within a regulated and purpose‑driven environment.
The Opportunity
- Lead and enhance the organisation’s governance framework, ensuring regulatory compliance and best practice
- Act as a trusted adviser to the Board and Committees, providing clear, pragmatic governance advice
- Oversee the full company secretariat function, including board and committee cycles, agendas, papers and minutes
- Maintain statutory registers and manage Companies House and regulatory filings
- Monitor governance risks and support assurance, compliance and effectiveness reviews
- Keep abreast of governance trends within social housing and the wider public / regulated sectors
- Line‑manage and support governance and data protection resource where required
About You
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g. ICSA / CGI – full or part qualified) or equivalent experience
- Proven senior‑level governance experience within a regulated environment (social housing strongly preferred)
- Strong experience delivering a first‑class company secretariat service
- Confidence operating at Board and Executive level
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to produce high‑quality minutes and reports
- A collaborative, proactive approach with outstanding attention to detail
