Karter Thomas Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a growing and ambitious business to appoint a Group Financial Controller. The company is based in Warwickshire and the role will be office based. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to take the next step in their career. Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, you'll play a key role in strengthening financial controls, improving reporting processes and supporting the continued growth of a multi-entity business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the month-end close process and ensuring timely, accurate reporting
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- Reviewing and analysing P&L, balance sheet and cashflow performance
- Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and annual audits
- Driving process improvements and standardisation across the finance function
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and working capital management
- Partnering with operational stakeholders across the business
- Developing and supporting members of the finance team
- Assisting with finance systems and continuous improvement initiatives
We are keen to hear from candidates with:
- ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualification (or strong QBE background)
- Experience within a larger, well-controlled finance environment
- Strong month-end, management accounting and balance sheet experience
- Exposure to audit, statutory reporting and financial controls
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach and desire to progress into a senior finance leadership role
- ERP systems experience (Business Central experience advantageous)
