Governance & Executive Support Officer – Temporary Role (3 Months)

Location: Hertfordshire

Are you an experienced PA, governance officer, or executive support professional with a strong eye for detail and an interest in social housing and GDPR? We’re working with a respected housing provider in Hertfordshire looking for a capable individual to join their team on a 3-month temporary assignment. This is an exciting opportunity to support a purpose-driven organisation focused on increasing access to affordable housing and delivering services that positively impact communities across Hertfordshire.

The Role

As Governance & Executive Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Executive Team and ensuring effective governance processes. You will also be involved in upholding data protection standards and supporting compliance with GDPR across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide governance support and ensure accurate systems, registers, and trackers are maintained.
  • Coordinate and manage Board, Committee, and Executive meetings including agendas, minutes, and action logs.
  • Deliver high-quality executive support including diary management, meeting prep, and correspondence.
  • Manage seal and signature registers, providing quality assurance and documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding new Board members and maintaining policy documents.
  • Support GDPR compliance, including managing the inbox, responding to enquiries, and administering DSARs.
  • Analyse data protection incidents and contribute to improving internal practices.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Strong PA or executive support experience, ideally in a governance or compliance setting.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive and professional approach to stakeholder and executive engagement.
  • Some experience or understanding of GDPR (or a willingness to learn).
  • The ability to quickly adapt, learn, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • A commitment to inclusive, people-focused working practices.
