This is a full-time role based in Birmingham, with travelling to sites across the country delivering projects for our clients. The role involves managing projects as an Employers Agent, overseeing cost consultancy services, and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing project estimates
  • Analysing tender submissions
  • Managing budgets
  • Conducting site visits
  • Valuations
  • Site meetings
  • Reviewing contracts
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the specified quality

You will collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and other consultants.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Employers Agent / Contract Administrator
  • Professional knowledge of project management, cost consultancy, and Employers Agent responsibilities
  • Proficiency in preparing cost estimates, managing budgets, and conducting cost analysis
  • Strong skills in JCT Design & Build & Development Agreements Contract Administration
  • Ability to conduct site inspections and assess progress against project specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client and stakeholder engagement
  • Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
  • RICS or equivalent professional chartered status is a strong advantage but not a requirement
  • Experience in delivering residential affordable housing projects
