Working Hours & Shift Pattern: This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week. The setting can accommodate four long days across the week. Shifts are worked within the nursery’s operating hours with regular breaks included. Flexibility may be considered depending on the needs of the service.
Job Description: As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you’ll help create a safe, stimulating and inspiring environment where children can learn through play, exploration and positive relationships. You’ll support children throughout their early years journey, contributing to their progress in line with the EYFS, while building strong partnerships with families and working closely with colleagues. This role is ideal for someone warm, enthusiastic and confident — who enjoys teamwork and takes pride in delivering high-quality care and learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children’s learning and development through purposeful play and planned activities
- Deliver high-quality care in line with EYFS and nursery policies
- Build secure, positive relationships that promote wellbeing and independence
- Observe, assess and record progress to contribute to learning journeys and next steps
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent, nurturing approach
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety and nursery hygiene
- Support daily routines including mealtimes, outdoor play and personal care where required
- Help create an enabling environment that is engaging, inclusive and well organised
Requirements:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
- Experience working in a nursery, childcare or early years setting
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
