Karntek Ltd, a leading fire safety consultancy, is looking for an experienced Lead Fire Risk Assessor to join our expert team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the delivery of Fire Risk Assessments Types 1-4 and Fire Strategies. The Lead Fire Risk Assessor will be responsible for conducting comprehensive fire risk assessments, mentoring junior assessors, and providing strategic oversight on fire safety projects. This position requires a deep understanding of fire safety legislation and standards, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to lead assessments with a focus on delivering high-quality, actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Conducting detailed fire risk assessments for a variety of building types, providing expert analysis of fire safety measures.
- Leading and mentoring junior assessors, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the team's capabilities.
- Preparing thorough fire risk assessment reports, detailing findings, recommendations, and action plans tailored to client needs.
- Engaging with clients, property managers, and stakeholders to communicate assessment results and support the implementation of safety measures.
- Staying up-to-date with changes in fire safety legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Level 4 qualification in Fire Risk Assessments.
- Minimum 3 years experience in conducting risk assessments.
- Significant experience in fire risk assessment, ideally with a proven track record in a senior or leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of fire safety legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a field-based role.
- Flexible to travel and conduct assessments across the Central and Greater London area.
- Full UK driving licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
- DBS Enhanced Check required (arranged by Karntek).
- NEBOSH General or other Health & Safety qualifications are advantageous.
