The Role: As a Fire Safety Plan Administrator, you’ll be responsible for producing and maintaining accurate fire safety plans and supporting documentation. You’ll prepare building plans for surveys and convert assessor-marked drawings into simplified, easy-to-read layouts. These plans provide important building information and must be clear, accurate, professional, and practical to use during an emergency. You’ll manage projects through the full production process, from preparing plans for assessment through to issuing digital and printed plan sets to customers.
- Create building layouts, vertical schematics, aerial schematics and on-arrival sheets for Fire Safety Plans
- Organise and prepare building plans for fire risk assessors ahead of site surveys
- Convert assessor-marked plans into clear and simplified fire safety layouts
- Ensure critical building and fire safety information is displayed clearly for emergency responders
- Produce plans using graphic design software such as Affinity Designer or Adobe Creative Suite
- Ensure completed plans are accurate, consistent, professional and compliant with company standards
- Deliver digital fire safety plans to customers
- Manage customer amendments, revisions and plan updates
- Produce printed plan sets and coordinate their distribution and delivery to customer sites
- Maintain organised customer, building and project files
- Ensure assessor plans, revisions, correspondence and completed projects are stored accurately
- Manage multiple projects and prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met
- Liaise with assessors, customers and project teams to clarify information and resolve discrepancies
- Provide professional customer service by telephone, email and face-to-face where required
- Help maintain and improve company templates, plan standards and production processes
