As our Training Manager, you'll be the face of Karndean for the next generation of fitters. Leading our state-of-the-art Training Academy, you'll deliver expert-led, hands-on training to installers of all experience levels.
How You Will Contribute
- Course Delivery: lead engaging, hands-on practical training sessions focused on installation techniques for our products, delivering a minimum of three courses per month (approximately nine training days).
- Content Development: provide ongoing feedback on course content, structure, and delivery to ensure training remains relevant, market-leading, and aligned with industry best practice.
- Health & Safety Compliance: ensure all training courses are delivered in a safe working environment, maintaining full compliance with health and safety standards and procedures.
- Product Knowledge Excellence: educate attendees on the full product portfolio, ensuring a high level of technical understanding and confidence in product application.
- Technical Support: provide specialist technical guidance and in-depth product knowledge to support wider business needs where appropriate.
- Installation & Project Support: deliver professional installation support as required, including assistance at trade shows, industry events, internal flooring remediation projects, and test floor installations, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and reflects the quality expectations of the business.
- Team Collaboration: work effectively as part of a wider team, collaborating with colleagues across departments to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.
What Will Make You Successful in This Role
- Experienced in professional flooring installation, with a strong focus on LVT products.
- Confident communicator, able to explain complex technical information clearly to a range of audiences and adapt communication style where needed.
- Passionate about quality with a strong pride in workmanship and a perfectionist approach to standards.
- Open-minded, with the ability to both receive and deliver feedback in a professional and constructive manner.
- Strong understanding of Karndean Designflooring's product portfolio, including Glue Down, Rigid Core, and Loose Lay (desirable).
- Experience in a training or coaching role (desirable).
Please note that the successful candidate for this role must hold a full UK driving licence. The role also requires flexibility, including the willingness to work outside of core hours when necessary to meet business needs, as well as the ability to travel within the British Isles on occasion to support business activities and customer requirements.
