Community Operations Manager – Wood Green & Hackney

Karma Kitchen is on a mission to build high-quality, functional commercial kitchens at speed and scale, providing the space that ambitious food businesses need to grow.

We transform underused commercial buildings into private kitchens and shared workspaces, creating environments where food businesses can operate, scale, and succeed.

We’re not just building kitchens, we’re building the infrastructure that supports a new generation of food businesses. We do this in close partnership with the communities we operate in, working alongside our partners to create spaces that are efficient, supportive, and built for growth.

Goal / Function of a Community Operations Manager

  • Site Operations Management: Own the day‑to‑day operation of the site, ensuring it is safe, compliant, well‑maintained, and operating efficiently.
  • Partner & Community Management: Build strong relationships with partners, foster a positive site community, and proactively enhance the overall partner experience.
  • Partner Communications: Act as the primary operational contact for partners, ensuring clear communication, timely issue resolution, and effective feedback sharing.
  • Site Audits & Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct regular operational, compliance, and health & safety audits to maintain high standards and identify risks before they become issues.
  • Partner Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate seamless move‑ins, move‑outs, and partner transitions, ensuring a professional and positive experience throughout.
  • Project Delivery & Implementation: Support and execute operational projects, process improvements, and site initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Community Engagement & Experience: Create opportunities for partner engagement, encourage collaboration across the site, gather feedback, and identify initiatives that strengthen the community and partner satisfaction.

About you

  • Accountable: You take ownership of your responsibilities from start to finish and follow through on commitments. You don't wait to be chased and take pride in delivering results.
  • Resilient: You remain calm, adaptable, and professional when priorities shift or challenges arise. You can handle pressure without losing momentum.
  • Solution‑Oriented: You proactively identify issues, think critically, and take action to find practical solutions. You focus on what can be done rather than what can't.
  • Community‑focused: You genuinely enjoy building relationships and creating positive experiences for others. You are approachable, supportive, and take pride in fostering a strong partner community.
  • Great communicator: You communicate clearly and confidently with partners, suppliers, and colleagues. You know how to build trust, manage expectations, and handle difficult conversations professionally.
  • Organized & proactive: You can juggle tasks, assess what matters most, and manage your time independently.
  • Growth Mindset: You’re curious, open to feedback, and committed to continuously learning and improving.

Note. We're looking for someone that lives within a maximum of 30 minutes away from Wood Green as it's important to live close to the site in case of emergencies. Any applications not meeting this will be excluded.
