The Role

We are hiring our first dedicated Account Manager, a pivotal role responsible for leading our entire lease and licence renewal process.

This person will become the trusted commercial partner for our customers, building relationships that last, navigating challenges collaboratively, and ensuring renewals are strategic, timely, and commercially strong.

Your core objectives will be to:

  • Make sure all customers who can renew with us, do so
  • Drive commercial improvement - get stronger terms for renewed leases and licences
  • Build long term, lasting relationships across our customer base.

The Responsibilities

Over the course of each year between 10 and 20 partners will be ready to renew their leases, you will be responsible for those successful renewals.

Beginning with a customer joining us, you will be responsible for building a strategic plan for them. This will cover all the crucial touch points, from emails, calls, coffees, lunches, getting to know the key stakeholders. It will also map out how to handle issues that often occur with partners. The partner plan culminates in the lease renewal conversation and execution. Each partner will have clear goals and a timeline, set and executed by you.

You will work through and refine your account management strategy, flexing it to work for both our small SMEs to our largest multinational clients. Because our client base is so broad, your role will be strategically, very varied.

Within the business, you will advise other teams on the relationship with partners, flag issues and help resolve them.

About you

Experience

  • 5+ years in an account management role handling a mix of SME and enterprise clients.
  • A strong track record of managing contract renewals and negotiations end-to-end.
  • Demonstrable experience navigating complex accounts with multiple stakeholders.

Key characteristics

Incredible people skills. Great register, a fluent conversationalist who can get on with everyone and put people at ease.

Commercial. This is a sales role and the end point of each conversation is a contract renewal.

Strategic. They need to play the long game, from the moment a client joins, we need to be carefully planning out their next steps with us. Each client needs a plan.

Attention to detail. Careful execution of the strategy, consistent follow ups and going the extra mile on all the little things a client or a team needs will make the difference over the long term.

Diplomat. This role connects the client, operations, sales and finance. Each party has different needs and success means getting everyone to work together to serve the client, so we can build a better long term relationship with them, and they renew.

Negotiator: Understands and conveys our value to the client and can negotiate on behalf of the business with no assistance.

A well communicated plan perfectly executed between all the different company teams is what drives successful renewals.
