We are seeking a Post‑Doctoral Research Associate to work on the project “Geographies of example: Finding the example within the exception and beyond (GeoEx)”, funded by the Leverhulme Trust Research Leadership Award.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, execution, and dissemination of the research project.
- Conduct ethnographic research in Finland, and make short trips to the UK and Bangladesh.
- Perform and analyse semi‑structured interviews with protection seekers and/or marginalised communities.
- Collaborate across Geography, Sociology, Politics, and Anthropology teams.
Qualifications
- Successful applicant will hold a PhD in Geography, Sociology, Politics, Anthropology, or a related discipline.
- Have excellent English language skills (additional languages desirable).
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have experience in conducting and analysing semi‑structured interviews with protection seekers and/or marginalised communities.
