Overview: We are presenting an opportunity to join the department of Chemical Engineering, within the School of Aeronautical, Automotive, Chemical and Materials Engineering as a Lecturer. The successful candidate will join a dynamic academic team within the department and collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering fields.
Responsibilities:
- Establish or enhance a strong international research profile.
- Engage with industry partners and secure research funding.
- Deliver high-quality, research-informed teaching across both undergraduate and postgraduate Chemical Engineering programmes, particularly in core chemical engineering modules.
- Supervise research students.
Qualifications / Areas of Expertise Desired: We welcome applications from candidates with expertise in any area of research, particularly in the following fields:
- Resource recovery and reuse
- Waste valorisation and upcycling
- Sustainable material cycles and closed-loop systems
- Hydrogen production, storage, and utilisation
- Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS)
- Electrochemical systems
- Green and sustainable production of chemicals, fuels, and pharmaceuticals
- Process intensification and digital manufacturing
- Integration of AI, automation, and smart technologies in chemical processes
