We are seeking an experienced Software Project Manager to lead the delivery of software components within integrated operating theatre (OR) solutions. This is a high‐profile, customer‐facing role where you will play a critical part in deploying advanced digital platforms into NHS and private hospitals across the UK.

The Role

As Software Project Manager – OR Integration, you will own the end‐to‐end delivery of OR software integration projects, from early planning and requirements through go‐live and post‐implementation support. You will work closely with surgeons, theatre teams, hospital IT, biomedical engineers, and third‐party vendors to ensure seamless integration of our OR platform into hospital IT ecosystems—delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading multi‐site OR software integration projects across NHS and private hospitals
  • Managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholder communication
  • Driving Agile or hybrid delivery approaches
  • Translating clinical and surgical workflows into clear software requirements and user stories
  • Coordinating integrations using healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and IHE profiles
  • Ensuring compliance with medical device software, IT network, and cybersecurity standards
  • Overseeing site readiness, training, cutover, and go‐live activities
  • Leading post‐go‐live support and continuous improvement initiatives

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who combines strong project leadership with technical credibility and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • 3+ years' experience in software project management
  • Experience working in healthcare or MedTech, with an understanding of Software delivery lifecycles in regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of hospital IT environments and system integration and a knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM)
  • Confident stakeholder manager, comfortable engaging with clinical, technical, and executive audiences
  • Willingness to travel regularly to hospital sites nationwide
  • Cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (e.g. NHS DSPT, ISO 27001, IEC 62304, IEC 80001)
  • Networking concepts such as VLANs, QoS, and video streaming
  • Project management and integration testing tools (e.g. Postman, HL7 viewers)
