About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Decontamination Supervisor to join our Dundee operation. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and effective decontamination of reusable surgical instruments and endoscopes, supporting patient safety and regulatory compliance. Working within an ISO 13485:2016 Quality Management System, you will carry out and oversee decontamination activities in line with approved procedures, manufacturer instructions for use (IFUs), and relevant Health Technical Memoranda (HTM 01‑01/06). You will also play an important role in audit readiness, documentation control, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, storage, and internal distribution of reusable surgical instruments and endoscopes.
  • Ensure decontamination processes follow HTM 01‑01/06, IFUs, and internal quality procedures.
  • Perform and record routine equipment checks, maintenance activities, and process testing.
  • Monitor and review biological and chemical wash parameters, escalating deviations or non‑conformances.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and traceable records in line with ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Support audit and inspection readiness through robust documentation and process control.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, infection prevention, and health & safety.
  • Monitor stock levels of consumables and elevate shortages or service risks.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to relevant stakeholders within scope of competence.

Health, Safety & Quality:

  • Comply with all Health & Safety policies, including daily manual handling activities.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality, Environmental, and Infection Prevention procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement and compliance within the decontamination facility.

Job Type: Full time/ Permanent

Schedule: 35 hour shift Monday-Friday

Work Location: Office based in Dundee
