The Role
To strengthen our finance team, KARL STORZ Endoscopy (UK) Ltd is seeking a Management Accountant in Dundee. This role will support the Financial Controller in the accurate processing, reconciliation, and maintenance of financial records. You will be responsible for handling a wide range of accounting documentation, helping to ensure financial data is complete, accurate, and compliant with internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, support, and provide guidance to a team of Accounts Assistants
- Participate in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end reporting packages
- Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes
- Prepare and provide financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare reconciliations and perform detailed analysis of financial data
- Assist with the control and reporting of Debtors and Stock
- Code and process supplier invoices and oversee payments
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, Intrastat reporting, and statutory/statistical reports
- Review and process employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Carry out administrative duties relating to procedures, contracts, and policy documentation
- Act as Concur system administrator and training provider
About You
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and VAT
- Experience supervising or supporting junior finance staff
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in accounting systems and MS Excel
- Experience with Concur or similar expense management systems is an advantage
Role Details
- Location: Dundee (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
- Contract: FTC 12-month maternity cover
- Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week, Monday-Friday)
- Salary: £40,000 to £48,000 p.a. DOE
