The Role
As a Sales Associate you will provide excellent and friendly service by assessing the needs of the customer and providing assistance. Associates in this position know how to greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer. Sales Associates work in cooperation with their Store Manager and other associates to ensure customers’ needs are met. Each associate has the responsibility of providing a safe working and shopping environment.
- Customer Satisfaction
Provide an outstanding service that creates a positive experience for the customer and generates loyalty. Consistently show a genuine desire to help customers. Establish and promote customer loyalty using company tools such as mailing list cards and customer books. Provide extra information and go the extra mile to satisfy the customer. When a product is not available, always offer alternatives. Deal with complaints in a professional manner by passing them on to the manager.
- Product Knowledge
Possess outstanding knowledge of the product reflecting the quality of the service provided. Have excellent knowledge of trends and fabrics (composition, terminology, garment care, styles, etc.). Maximise the potential of the product to create sales.
- Drive Sales
Have good knowledge of the business that will provide growth in sales. Give feedback to the Store Manager about what is selling. Build a regular client base. Be aware of the best and slow‑selling items to improve general sales.
- Maintains Safety, Security and Integrity
Ensure all procedures are followed and safety is maintained. Ensure aisles are safe. Keep the stockroom safe. Take action if other associates are acting in an unsafe manner. Follow all loss‑prevention procedures. Take action to reduce shrink. Treat all associates and customers with respect.
Profile
Minimum of 2 years of progressive retail experience in a luxury or contemporary brand. Extensive experience and ability to lead the delivery of a high level of customer service in a brand retailer. Communicate honestly, openly and constructively. Contribute to an inclusive culture of diverse styles and talents working toward a clear purpose. Demonstrate flexibility and innovation in recognising and reacting to the changing business environment. Loves working with international clients.
