Are you an experienced leader with a strong understanding of Ofsted compliance, governance, and strategic oversight? Karisla Limited is seeking a Responsible Individual to provide leadership and direction across its newly repurposed children’s residential home specialising in complex care. This is a vital senior role that ensures the highest standards of care, compliance, and safeguarding are embedded throughout the service. This opportunity offers flexibility, professional autonomy, and a chance to play a key part in the growth of a high-quality service. You will work directly with the Registered Manager, Directors, and wider senior team to achieve and sustain excellence in Ofsted standards.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear strategic leadership and direction to ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations and company policies.
  • Support the Registered Manager through supervision, guidance, and performance oversight.
  • Ensure effective governance arrangements are in place, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Lead on Ofsted registration processes, inspections, and quality assurance.
  • Maintain robust relationships with local authorities and external agencies.
  • Review and monitor reports, audits, and outcomes to identify areas for development.
  • Promote a culture of transparency, safeguarding, and child-centred practice.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven track record as a Responsible Individual or senior leader within children’s residential services.
  • Sound knowledge of The Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted’s inspection framework.
  • Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or above.
  • Strong understanding of governance, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A confident, reflective leader able to influence and motivate others.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel when required.
