Join Karimix as a Contracts Engineer / Manager in Reading. We are a leading business in the heating and cooling industry, partners with clients for over sixty years to make a difference to their lives and businesses.
Location: Reading
Job Type: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Project-manage the installation of refrigeration, air handling, and air conditioning.
- Apply technical and organisational skills to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ensure all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures are followed.
- Work closely with in-house installation engineers and sub-contractors.
- Serve as the main contact point for customers from initial order through to commissioning.
- Your days will vary – sometimes you’ll be in the office, other days you’ll visit customer sites to plan a job, advise the installation team or solve problems.
Requirements:
- Technical skills and knowledge as a refrigeration and air conditioning engineer.
- Experience supervising or overseeing installation of refrigeration, air conditioning, chillers and/or AHU’s (advantage but not essential).
- A friendly, professional manner with the ability to form strong business relationships.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office 365.
- Clean, current driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
- Based in or around Reading.
Due to safeguarding requirements, we complete confidential criminal record checks on all roles that attend customer sites. A DBS check is required for successful candidates. We strictly follow the DBS code of practice and comply with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
