About the Role

The role involves developing and maintaining data management policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring data accuracy, and acting as Karibu’s data steward.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data management policies, standards, and procedures
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all systems
  • Act as Karibu’s data steward, promoting best practices in data handling
  • Maintain data protection compliance (e.g., GDPR)
  • Oversee housing management systems and databases
  • Monitor data quality and implement regular audits and cleansing activities
  • Support system upgrades, migrations, and integrations
  • Support Head of IT in sourcing and vetting system suppliers where necessary
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reports for management, board, and regulators
  • Work with the Project and Performance Manager in developing dashboards and performance metrics (e.g., KPIs for housing services)
  • Support statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Provide data insights to inform service improvement and strategic planning
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and improve data capture processes
  • Train staff on data systems and data quality standards
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable information
  • Ensure compliance with data protection legislation and internal policies
  • Support audits and inspections by statutory and regulatory bodies
  • Maintain secure data storage and ensure robust access controls
