The role involves developing and maintaining data management policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring data accuracy, and acting as Karibu’s data steward.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data management policies, standards, and procedures
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all systems
- Act as Karibu’s data steward, promoting best practices in data handling
- Maintain data protection compliance (e.g., GDPR)
- Oversee housing management systems and databases
- Monitor data quality and implement regular audits and cleansing activities
- Support system upgrades, migrations, and integrations
- Support Head of IT in sourcing and vetting system suppliers where necessary
- Produce regular and ad hoc reports for management, board, and regulators
- Work with the Project and Performance Manager in developing dashboards and performance metrics (e.g., KPIs for housing services)
- Support statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
- Provide data insights to inform service improvement and strategic planning
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and improve data capture processes
- Train staff on data systems and data quality standards
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable information
- Ensure compliance with data protection legislation and internal policies
