Kardex is looking for a full time Installation Technician in the Midlands area to cover all of the UK. As an Installation Technician you will be responsible for the installation of our electro-mechanical equipment as part of an installation team. You will act as a brand ambassador by modelling the Kardex’s Core Values of Teamwork, Respect, Passion, and Reliability in every interaction with customers & colleagues and be the face of the Life Cycle Service department at our customer sites across the region.
In this important role you must prove to be flexible and willing to commit the time and effort necessary to meet our customers’ needs and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty during every interaction. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a background in the service and repair of electrical mechanical capital equipment. Applications are welcome from service Technicians from a wide range of backgrounds, as full product training will be provided.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Provide a high quality of customer service in accordance with established policy.
- Communicate effectively with customers and the service desk at prescribed intervals.
- Accurately report on a visit-by-visit basis via appropriate documentation/call tracker in a timely manner.
- Work with minimum supervision, always maintaining appropriate communication.
- To aid and assist fellow workers as and when required.
- Ensure that all personal PPE is maintained as required and inspected at required intervals.
- Work within agreed quality and health and safety standards.
- Proven electrical background preferred.
- Sound mechanical knowledge.
- Motivated to work in a field role.
- Full Driving license.
- Technical / mechanical / electronic experience.
- IT literate.
- Willingness to travel including overnight stays.
