The salary range for this position is $27.00 to $31.00 hourly depending on experience. The deadline to submit applications is initially set for Monday August 31, 2026. As a Field Service Technician, you are the face of Kärcher at customer locations, installing, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial machinery while delivering elite customer service directly on site.

This is how you WOW:

  • Deliver On-Site Service Excellence: Drive to customer locations to install, repair, and perform advanced troubleshooting on commercial cleaning equipment, while training customer personnel on proper machine maintenance.
  • Manage Field Operations & Documentation: Satisfy all aspects of service calls, maintain van inventory accuracy, perform bi-monthly cycle counts, and submit daily work orders, timesheets, and parts replenishment requests.
  • Protect Company Assets: Safely operate and maintain assigned company vehicles (van/truck/trailer) and specialized tools, presenting a clean, professional image at all customer sites.
  • Proactive Communication & Revenue: Maintain responsive, daily communication with the Dispatch Call Center, deliver top-tier service interactions, and identify opportunities for additional service revenue.

  • Academic & Technical Foundation: High school diploma or equivalent required; Auto Mechanic, Diesel, or technical certification is highly desirable.
  • Hands-On Experience: Proven track record in repair and maintenance of automobiles, diesel engines, military vehicles, or heavy equipment, combined with advanced troubleshooting skills on commercial machinery.
  • Technical Toolbox: Strong electro-mechanical and small engine skills, basic electrical knowledge (AC/DC circuits), and familiarity with hydraulics, welding, torching, or metal fabrication.
  • Communication & Math Skills: Ability to read/write technical reports, interpret safety manuals, speak effectively before clients, and calculate rates, ratios, percentages, and measurements.
  • Licensing & Computer Savvy: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, proficiency with PCs for job reporting, and the self-starter drive to work independently or in a team.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: This position operates primarily in customer locations, service vehicles, and parts rooms with minimal office time. Frequent local travel is required.
