As a Yard Operative, you’ll be instrumental in the maintenance, repair, and preparation of our modular buildings and site accommodation units. Your dedication to efficiency and safety will ensure that every task is performed to the highest standards, driving the success of our depot and contributing to our overall excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, clean, paint, and perform general maintenance on cabins and buildings as directed.
- Service mobile welfare units to ensure they’re in top condition.
- Conduct site visits to carry out necessary repairs promptly.
- Check and store furniture returned to the yard, ensuring its proper removal from cabins and placement back in storage.
- Minimise material wastage and assist with the safe loading and unloading of cabins, buildings, and materials.
- Maintain a clean and organised yard and workshop at all times.
- Adhere to current health and safety legislation to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in plumbing, joinery, or electrical work is highly beneficial.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload effectively.
