About The Role
The Tenancy Sustainment Officer role involves providing housing related support to a portfolio of customers, living either in their own homes or within supported schemes run by 54 North Homes. The role is to ensure tenants understand and adhere to tenancy agreements and support them to deal with problems relating to tenancy, including repairs, rent arrears, property condition and Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB).
You'll work in partnership with the resident and other agencies as appropriate, prepare action plans to achieve agreed outcomes and undertake regular support sessions appropriate to the identified level of need, maintaining accurate records of assistance given, those involved, and outcomes reached. Acting as the tenant's advocate, liaise with other housing, health, welfare professionals, and other statutory and voluntary agencies, to access specialist support as appropriate.
