Safer Communities Officer (Anti-Social Behaviour)

About The Role

We're looking for a passionate and skilled individual to join us as a Safer Communities Officer in our Community Safety Team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference to our customers and the communities they live in.

The role specialises in providing a high quality, customer focused service to victims and perpetrators of anti-social behaviour across the Karbon Homes stock. You'll be working with Safer Communities colleagues where the provision involves a pro-active approach to prevent and tackle anti-social behaviour. You'll manage a caseload of anti-social behaviour cases and carry out associated administrative tasks, keeping detailed case notes and ensure investigations are completed in line with all legal and non-legal remedies.

Working in collaboration with team members and legal advisors, you'll prepare and support officers with producing documentation, reports, issue and serve notices of intention to seek possession, injunctions, or other legal notices for anti-social behaviour within tight deadlines. You'll be expected to attend court on behalf of the organisation as required.

You'll have an excellent understanding of the various support agencies available and will make support referrals where necessary for both victims and perpetrators. The role will need someone who can develop strong working relationships with key external partners in a multi-agency forum.

A flexible approach to work is key as the post holder will be required to work across all office locations and Karbon stock as necessary and occasionally work outside normal working hours.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purpose is essential.

About You

We're looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to undertake the post of Safer Communities Officer to work with victims and perpetrators to tackle Anti-Social Behaviour.

The role is fast paced, challenging, and rewarding, and is a crucial service to our customers in our neighbourhoods. You'll thrive in a position that deals with complex, and sometimes emotive situations.

You’ll wow us with your enthusiasm and demonstrate that you have the ability, attitude and interpersonal skills to build strong and effective relationships with customers and colleagues and support the work of Karbon in our communities.

It goes without saying that you'll have good organisation, time management and ICT skills, but most importantly you'll be great with people.
