Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Performance Analyst. We are looking to appoint a high-performing, detail-oriented Performance Analyst to join our Business Performance and Analytics team (part of the wider Strategy, Insight & External Affairs Team). Our team provides a central business intelligence function, supporting colleagues across the Karbon Group to achieve the strategic aims set out in our Stronger Foundations Strategy. We deliver robust business planning, performance management, trend analysis, and research and insight, with a strong emphasis on data quality, consistency, and technical integrity.
This role is suited to someone who takes personal ownership of their work, is motivated by accuracy and clarity, and is confident working with complex data to produce insight that influences business decisions.
About The Role
Working in a small, collaborative team, you will be responsible for end-to-end performance analysis and reporting, supporting strategic and business planning processes and the production of accurate, timely regulatory returns. You will be expected to work with complex datasets, apply appropriate analytical techniques, and produce outputs that are precise, well-structured, and decision-ready. High standards of data validation, documentation, and version control are essential. The role also involves contributing to high-profile, outcomes-focused projects, where you will be expected to clearly articulate insights, challenge assumptions constructively, and provide evidence-based recommendations that drive operational and strategic improvement.
About You
You are a focused, well-organised, and delivery-driven analyst who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. You are comfortable managing your own workload, meeting deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail even when working under pressure. You are committed to continuous improvement, actively seeking feedback and using it to refine both your technical capability and the way you work. You can provide clear, confident, and proportionate advice to senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted analytical partner rather than a passive report-writer. You are a clear and confident communicator, able to translate complex analysis into meaningful insight for a range of audiences. You have strong technical and analytical skills, including the ability to present information effectively using Power BI, and you take responsibility for ensuring your outputs are both technically sound and fit for purpose. You are also motivated to maintain and develop your professional expertise, building external networks to share best practice and stay current with developments in performance analysis and business intelligence.
Working With Us
You will be part of our Business Performance and Analytics Team led by Robin Purser, Head of Data and Business Performance.
