Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Multi Trade Joiner/Plumber. We're looking for passionate and skilled individuals to join us in our Empty Homes Major Works Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new team that will make a real difference in people's lives. You’ll play a key role in getting our homes ready for customers and ensuring they are safe, secure, and finished to a high standard.

In this varied role, you’ll use your Multi Trade, Joinery or Plumbing expertise to deliver a wide range of repairs and improvement works in our empty homes. From minor repairs to major component installations, you’ll help us provide a high quality service that puts our customers first and supports continuous improvement across the team.

For our Multi Trade role, you’ll bring proven experience across two or more core trades – primarily in joinery and plumbing – supported by a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent experience. You take pride in doing the job well and have the technical skills and confidence to complete all aspects of Multi-trade work to a professional standard. For our Joiner and Plumber roles you should have completed a recognised trade apprenticeship or have equivalent relevant experience and possess all the skills necessary to deliver all aspects of plumbing or joinery works to a high standard ranging from minor repairs to the installation of major components.

You’ll have:

  • Strong practical skills within the relevant trade(s)
  • A solid understanding of health and safety
  • Great customer service skills, with a friendly and respectful approach
  • A full UK driving licence

  • Location: Predominantly in the Consett, Stanley and Chester-le-Street areas but with potential to work anywhere within our footprint
  • Regular travel will be required
  • 37 hours per week
  • Company van provided
  • The successful applicants will be required to participate in delivering our out of hours service (additional payments will apply).
