We’re looking for passionate and skilled individuals to join us as Multi Trade Joiner/Plumbers, Joiners or Plumbers in our Empty Homes Major Works Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new team that will make a real difference in people’s lives. You’ll play a key role in getting our homes ready for customers and ensuring they are safe, secure, and finished to a high quality standard.

About the Role

In this varied role, you’ll use your Multi Trade, Joinery or Plumbing expertise to deliver a wide range of repairs and improvement works in our empty homes. From minor repairs to major component installations, you’ll help us provide a high‑quality service that puts our customers first and supports continuous improvement across the team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience across two or more core trades – primarily in joinery and plumbing – supported by a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent experience (for the Multi Trade role)
  • Completed a recognised trade apprenticeship or have equivalent relevant experience (for Joiner and Plumber roles)
  • Strong practical skills within the relevant trade(s)
  • Solid understanding of health and safety
  • Great customer service skills, with a friendly and respectful approach
  • Full UK driving licence

Salary & Location

  • Multi Trade – £37,195 per annum
  • Joiner – £35,218 per annum
  • Plumber – £35,218 per annum
  • Predominantly in the Consett, Stanley and Chester‑Le‑Street areas, with potential to work anywhere within our footprint

Working Hours & Travel

  • 37 hours per week
  • Regular travel required
  • Company van provided

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in delivering our out‑of‑hours service (additional payments will apply)
