About the Role

Working throughout the Karbon footprint and responsible for the line management of the grounds maintenance teams, carrying out inspections, and dealing with stakeholders, contractors, and customers. The Grounds Maintenance Team Leader must be a problem solver with a high level of resilience. We're looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join and support our Grounds Maintenance team in managing an already excellent service, delivered to our customers in a way that promotes high levels of customer focus, performance, safety, and quality, with a strong emphasis on innovation, forward thinking and continuous improvement. The successful applicant may be asked to operate anywhere within the current Karbon Homes geographical footprint and manage internal and external contractual obligations as required. A full UK driving licence is essential.

About You

The successful applicant should have a thorough understanding of grounds maintenance practices and be aware of future challenges facing the industry, and must possess the relevant knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to successfully manage a multi-disciplined team of in-house colleagues, supported by approved sub-contractors, in undertaking grounds maintenance tasks in a fast moving, dynamic and expanding working environment. They must be dynamic, with a collaborative, and engaging style, and possess strong customer service, people management and organisational skills. Additionally, they must be highly organised, capable of working to tight deadlines, achieving KPIs and targets in accordance with budget constraints, whilst maintaining high quality and safety. They must be competent with Microsoft Office systems and have the necessary experience to deliver training to your teams in use of systems and equipment. A resilient approach and ability to work under pressure is essential.

  • Salary is £34,112 per annum plus a Karbon car payment of £2,405 per annum (own car to be used)
  • Location: Stanley
  • Regular travel will be required
  • 37 hours per week
