Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Data Analyst. We're looking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and proactive Data Analyst to join our Business Performance and Analytics team, part of the wider Strategy, Insight and External Affairs Team. Our team provides analytical expertise, business intelligence, research and insight services that help colleagues across Karbon make informed, evidence-based decisions. We play a key role in improving business performance, supporting strategic planning, enhancing data quality, and helping teams understand the trends, patterns and opportunities within their data.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and translating complex information into meaningful insight that supports operational and strategic decision-making.
As a Data Analyst, you'll work closely with colleagues across Karbon to deliver high-quality analysis, reporting and business intelligence services. You'll collate requirements, analyse and present data from a variety of sources, producing regular operational reports as well as bespoke research and analytical outputs that help drive business improvement. You’ll be responsible for identifying trends, correlations and patterns within datasets, supporting root‑cause analysis and helping teams develop data‑led solutions to business challenges. The role will also involve data modelling, statistical analysis and contributing to projects that improve our understanding of customer, business and property data.
Working as part of a wider data community, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across the organisation, including ICT and operational teams, to access, interrogate and model datasets, improve data quality, and identify opportunities for automation and service improvement. A key part of the role will be communicating insight effectively through dashboards, reports, presentations and briefings, ensuring that complex information is translated into clear, actionable recommendations for a range of audiences.
You’re a focused, well‑organised and delivery‑driven analyst with 3‑5 years’ experience in a data analytics role, with a track record of producing accurate, high‑quality work. You’re comfortable managing your own workload, meeting deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail even when working under pressure. You’re committed to continuous improvement, actively seeking feedback and using it to refine both your technical capability and the way you work. You can provide clear, confident and proportionate advice to stakeholders, acting as a trusted analytical partner who helps turn data into actionable insight.
You’re a clear and confident communicator, able to translate complex analysis into meaningful insight for a range of audiences. You have strong technical and analytical skills, including the ability to develop impactful dashboards and present information effectively using Power BI, and you take responsibility for ensuring your outputs are both technically robust and fit for purpose. You’re motivated to continually develop your professional expertise, keeping up to date with emerging trends, tools and techniques in data analysis and business intelligence. You build strong relationships with colleagues and partners, share best practice, and actively contribute to a culture of learning, innovation and data‑led decision‑making.
You’ll be part of our Business Performance and Analytics Team led by Robin Purser, Head of Data and Business Performance. If you’d like to know more about the role, feel free to reach out to 0191 223 8709.
