Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Development Manager. We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to take up the role of Development Manager in our Development Delivery Team. The Development Delivery Team, with the backing of a Strategic Partnership relationship with Homes England, is responsible for securing land and delivering an ambitious programme of high quality, multiātenure, new build homes across both rural and urban locations in the North of England. This role will help drive further growth in new homes across our expanding geography and help to deliver high quality new affordable homes to the market.
About The Role
The role will work closely with the Head of Land and Partnerships in each region and will lead the new business team in overseeing all aspects of preāconstruction activity, including partnership development, acquiring land and property to deliver landāled development, acquiring homes under s.106 arrangements, securing design and planning approvals for multiātenure developments, tendering projects, and entering build contracts with construction partners and housebuilders. This role will be instrumental in supporting Karbon's commitments to Homes England as a Strategic Partner and accelerating Karbon's growth ambition across Yorkshire and North East on developments ranging from small rural to large multiāphased and multiātenure development utilising both traditional and modern methods of construction. Our agile working approach means you can manage the new business team and your own time working across development sites with office and home/remote working available, balancing business, team, customer and personal needs.
About You
We are looking to strengthen the leadership credentials within the team by attracting an experienced housing development professional who has a strong teamwork and collaboration ethos. You will be a dynamic team player, part of the Development Delivery Team, enabling you to influence new strategies and shape policies to enable delivery. You will have a proven track record in delivering multiple complex grant and nonāgrantāfunded housing development projects, producing investment appraisals, managing cashflows, managing staff and securing contracts within timescales to deliver results while ensuring customer satisfaction in new homes product and service delivery are fully considered.

The successful candidate will work in our Development Delivery team led by the Head of Land and Partnerships Lea Smith.
Key Details
- Permanent role
- Salary is Ā£59,441 per annum plus a Karbon car payment of Ā£2,317 per annum (pending pay review)
- Location: Offices based in Stanley or Gosforth
- Regular travel will be required across the North East
- 37 hours per week with agile working
- This post will require frequent site visits and trips to Karbon's other offices in the North East
