Karak Chaii Enfield Ltd. is a franchise business operating under the Karak Chaii brand, bringing authentic karak chai and Indian street food to the heart of Enfield. Our Enfield location combines a contemporary café environment with a strong focus on quality, customer experience and community engagement. As the business develops, we are entering an important phase of growth and expansion with plans to establish additional locations in London, Worcester and Bristol. We are looking for a commercially minded professional to join the business and help develop new revenue opportunities, partnerships and customer relationships as we grow across multiple locations.

About the Role

As Business Development & Commercial Partnerships Manager, you will play a key role in developing the Company's commercial activity and identifying opportunities for sustainable revenue growth. Working closely with the Director, operational teams, the franchisor and external partners, you will develop commercial relationships, identify new business opportunities, analyse trading and customer data, and support the delivery of business development initiatives. This is a broad commercial role, and we are looking for someone who can contribute across a range of business development activities rather than focusing on a single specialist area. The successful candidate will be expected to move comfortably between partnership development, account management, commercial analysis, events and catering, local marketing initiatives and expansion projects. We are therefore looking for someone with relevant experience, a flexible and practical approach who can take ownership of different projects and adapt their skills to the needs of a growing business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Business Development & Commercial Partnerships
    • Develop and implement business development initiatives that support the Company's revenue and commercial objectives.
    • Identify new commercial opportunities across corporate accounts, catering, events, local businesses, community organisations and strategic partnerships.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, local businesses, educational institutions, community organisations and other external stakeholders.
    • Manage key commercial accounts and develop relationships that encourage repeat business and long-term commercial value.
    • Identify opportunities for corporate catering, workplace partnerships, group bookings, private events and other commercial revenue streams.
  • Events & Catering
    • Identify and source relevant local events, festivals, corporate functions and community events where Karak Chaii can participate as a catering or commercial partner.
    • Research and assess potential events based on audience, location, commercial opportunity and suitability for the brand.
    • Develop and manage catering opportunities for events, from identifying potential clients and responding to enquiries through to proposals, coordination and delivery.
    • Build relationships with event organisers, venues, corporate clients and community groups to develop a pipeline of future catering, event and partnership opportunities.
    • Coordinate event activations from initial planning through to delivery, working with store operations, suppliers and external organisers to ensure agreed requirements are met.
    • Support the development of new event and catering opportunities across Enfield and future operating locations.
  • Commercial Analysis & Customer Insights
    • Analyse sales and customer performance across in-store operations and third-party delivery platforms, including Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat, using data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
    • Analyse customer behaviour, sales trends and product performance to identify opportunities to improve revenue, customer retention and overall commercial performance.
    • Monitor the performance of promotional campaigns, partnerships and other commercial initiatives, assessing their effectiveness and return on investment.
    • Conduct market and competitor research to identify emerging opportunities, customer trends and changes within the local food and beverage market.
    • Use commercial data, customer insights and performance metrics to support evidence-based decision-making across the business.
    • Prepare regular commercial performance reports, presenting key findings, insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Marketing, Partnerships & Local Engagement
    • Support local marketing, promotional and community engagement initiatives where these contribute to customer acquisition, partnerships or commercial growth.
    • Develop local partnerships that strengthen brand awareness and create measurable commercial opportunities.
    • Work closely with the franchisor and internal teams to ensure local commercial initiatives are aligned with wider brand objectives and standards.
    • Represent Karak Chaii Enfield at relevant networking events, business forums, community initiatives and commercial events to develop relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Projects & Business Expansion
    • Coordinate cross-functional commercial projects from planning through to implementation, ensuring agreed objectives, timelines and outcomes are delivered.
    • Work closely with store operations, the franchisor, suppliers and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure commercial initiatives are delivered effectively.
    • Support the commercial planning and launch of future locations, including London, Worcester and Bristol, through market research, local partnership development and launch activity.
    • Identify opportunities to establish strong local commercial networks ahead of new store openings.
    • Present commercial insights and strategic recommendations to the Director to support business planning and longer-term growth.
