As a Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in driving clinical excellence, ensuring safe practice, and maintaining the highest standards of care within the home. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will provide clinical leadership across the service, supporting strong governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement in line with CQC and Local Authority standards. You will lead by example on shift, ensuring best practice is embedded across all aspects of care delivery.

  • Drive excellence in wound care, clinical documentation, and person-centred care planning
  • Ensure compliance with all CQC, Local Authority, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide clinical supervision, leadership, and performance support to nursing and care teams
  • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of care and nursing standards
  • Promote a positive, open, and inclusive culture focused on high-quality care delivery
  • Support audits, inspections, and the delivery of continuous quality improvement plans
  • Act as a visible clinical role model while working both on shift and in a supervisory capacity

Requirements:

  • NMC Registered Nurse with an active PIN
  • Proven experience in a senior nursing or clinical leadership role within a care home setting
  • Strong understanding of CQC standards, governance, and regulatory compliance
  • Confident in leading medication management, wound care, and clinical audits
  • Passionate about developing teams through coaching and mentorship
  • Committed to delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care
  • Active NMC registration
  • Experience supporting inspections and driving service improvements
  • Ability to work flexibly across supernumerary and on-shift responsibilities
