Job Overview

The Regional Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance and high-quality care across a portfolio of care homes. Reporting to the Operations Director/Chief Operating Officer, the role provides strategic oversight and operational leadership to Registered Managers and senior teams across the region. You will ensure the delivery of outstanding person-centred care while maintaining strong governance, operational performance and workforce stability. This role requires an experienced leader who can inspire teams, strengthen quality frameworks and support services to consistently meet and exceed regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight across multiple care homes through Registered Managers
  • Drive a culture of accountability, high performance and person-centred care
  • Ensure all homes maintain strong compliance with CQC regulations and quality standards
  • Lead and support services through inspections and quality improvement initiatives
  • Conduct regular governance reviews and operational visits across homes
  • Oversee quality assurance processes including audits, safeguarding oversight and incident management
  • Work closely with senior leadership to deliver operational strategy and service improvements
  • Support occupancy growth and operational sustainability across the region
  • Work with finance teams to ensure services operate efficiently while maintaining high standards of care
  • Coach and develop Home Managers and senior staff to strengthen leadership capability
  • Engage with residents, families and external partners to ensure positive care experiences

About You

  • Experienced operational leader within the health and social care sector
  • Strong understanding of care home regulation and quality governance
  • Proven ability to support and develop Home Managers and senior teams
  • Confident managing multiple services and driving performance improvements
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory compliance
  • Experience supporting services through inspections and quality improvement
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across services
